Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and assisting with various accounting tasks. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills while contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounts department.

Duties

• Assist with accounts payable processes.
• Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly onto Sage accounting package.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial transactions or account statuses.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports as required by management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounts assistant role.
• Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
• Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement within the accounts function.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
